What is Kitting?

Turn Separate Products Into High-Converting Bundles

Kitting is the process of combining multiple individual products into one sellable unit — a bundle, multi-pack or kit. It's one of the most powerful ways to increase average order value, differentiate your listing, and reduce competition on Amazon.

But kitting done wrong can lead to Amazon rejections, customer complaints and negative reviews. We handle assembly with precision — following Amazon's bundle guidelines to the letter, every time.

Increases average order value without paid ads
Reduces listing competition — bundles are unique ASINs
Moves slow inventory by pairing it with bestsellers
Done per your SOP — any combination, any packaging
100% Amazon-compliant labeling on every finished kit

Amazon Compliance

We Know Amazon's Bundle Rules Cold

Amazon has strict requirements for virtual and physical bundles. Get it wrong and your listing gets suppressed or your FBA shipment rejected. We make sure every kit is done right.

Rule 01

One FNSKU per Bundle

Every finished kit gets a single, unique FNSKU label — not one per component. We apply it in the correct location per Amazon packaging guidelines.

Rule 02

"Sold as Set" Marking

Multi-unit bundles must be clearly marked "Sold as Set — Do Not Separate." We print and apply this to every bundle that requires it.

Rule 03

Poly Bag Requirements

Bundles containing soft goods, small parts or loose items must be poly-bagged per Amazon standards. We handle suffocation warning labels where required.

Rule 04

Expiry Date Compliance

Bundles containing food, supplements or consumables need visible expiry dates on the outer packaging. We verify and apply per Amazon's expiry rules.

Rule 05

Category-Specific Rules

Electronics, grocery, beauty and toys all have additional bundling rules. We stay current on Amazon policy updates so your kits are never rejected.

Rule 06

Carton & Pallet Standards

Finished kits packed into FBA cartons following Amazon's weight, dimension and labeling requirements. No PO rejections at the fulfillment center.

FAQ

Common Kitting & Bundling Questions

Yes — a SOP or bill of materials (BOM) is required before we start any kitting job. It doesn't need to be fancy: a simple list of components, quantities per kit, and packaging instructions is enough. If you're unsure how to write one, we can guide you through it. We won't start assembly until we've reviewed and confirmed your instructions.
We handle the physical assembly and labeling — creating the Amazon listing is your responsibility or your VA's. However, we can advise you on what ASIN and FNSKU to use, and once you have the FNSKU ready, we apply it to every finished kit. We're happy to answer questions about bundle listing requirements.
No minimums — we work with runs as small as 20–30 kits. That said, very small runs may carry a small setup fee. For large runs (500+ kits), we offer volume pricing. Tell us your quantity when you request a quote and we'll give you the best rate.
Most kitting jobs are completed within 2–5 business days after all components are received and your SOP is confirmed. Complex kits with many components or large quantities may take longer. We'll give you an estimated completion date before we start and keep you updated throughout.
We stock standard poly bags, boxes, bubble wrap and void fill — these are available at cost. For branded or custom packaging (printed boxes, custom tissue, branded tape), you'll need to supply these yourself or have your supplier ship them to us along with your products. We'll confirm what we have in stock when you get a quote.
Leftover components are counted and stored in your inventory at our warehouse. You'll receive a completion report showing how many kits were assembled, how many components were used, and exactly what remains. Remaining components can be used for future kitting runs, fulfilled as individual units, or sent to FBA.
